Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering was founded by PERME Trust under the Chairmanship of Sri.A.M.VELU Ex.M.P (loksabha) in 2001.Our College has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) New Delhi and Affiliated to the Anna University,Chennai. The College has been functioning from the Academic year 2001-2002 with the motto of providing quality technical education to rural mass in the Modern Digital Technology.

          Pachaiamman Ethirajammal Rajam Mudhaliyandan Education Trust(PERME Trust) was founded in 1983 by with objective of delivering qualitative education to the younger generation of the country. On a span of 12 years the trust has established an Engineering College, an Arts and Science, a Polytechnic and a Matriculation School.

          The Trust: The PERME Educational Trust has been registered in Chennai; the capital of Tamil Nadu, in 1983. The Trusts objective to disseminate value based education to inculcated in growing minds discipline as well as spiritual, moral, ethical, and cultural values has seen it grow into its present stature. The desired goal of the Institution is to make every student a valuable person with well-versed knowledge to face the harsh reality of the highly competitive world of profession. Besides, character building in making the students useful and potential citizens is another sphere of its objectives.

          The Saraswathi velu college of engineering is a co-educational, self-financing institution, established in the academic year 2001 and run by PERME Educational Trust. The College has been formed with the Higher ideals of imparting job-oriented and self cultivating education also to the under privileged and the socially backward who otherwise can't afford it. As the institution is far from the din and dust of the town, it maintains absolutely calm atmosphere for studies.
